Delegation of the Reserch Lab of Arrhythmology (Almazov National Medical Research Centre, Saint-Petersburg) actively participated in the annual EHRA Congress.

 

Annual congress of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) is taking place in Lisbon, Portugal from March 17th to 19th. On the first meeting day the congress was visited by more than 10,000 participants - specialists in arrhythmology from all over the world.

Members of the delegation from Almazov Centre worthily presented their achievements in the field of arrhythmia treatment within the EHRA 2019. 

On the first day Russian doctors presented two oral presentations. The work of doctors V.S. Orshanskaya and T.A. Lyubimtseva should be particularly noted. In addition, the latest developments in complex arrhythmias mapping and implantable devices were discussed within the poster session where the works of Children Arrhythmology Dept (head - Dr. E.S. Vasichkina) and Interventional Arrhythmology Lab (head - Prof. D.S. Lebedev) were presented.

Special stmposia were organized for young cardiologists. There were held a quizz on arrhythmia diagnostic, clinical cases and interactive master classes where everyone could join and get new skills.

Informal part of the congress included popular mini-marathon. Team of RSC young cardiologists from the Almazov Centre took part in the sport event and showed very good results and level of athletic performance. The marathon took place on the pictorial streets of Lisbon and the finish line were close to the congress venue.
