All-Russian conference "Cardiology in the XXI century: traditions and innovations" and Forum of Young Cardiologists were held in Ryazan

On March 17-18, 2016 5th All-Russian conference "Cardiology in the XXI century: traditions anв innovations" and 4th Forum of Young Cardiologists were held in Ryazan State Medical University.
Forum organized by the Russian Monistry of Health, Russian Society of Cardiology and Ryazan State Medical University was dedicated to present state of cardiology and increasing support for young specialists.
RSC Board member and head of department of hospital therapy in Ryazan University Professor Sergey Yakushin reported that leading cardiologists of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Samara, Krasnoyarsk and other cities took part in the forum as well as young specialists from 46 universities of Russia.

 

Opening of the meeting was marked by the signing of the agreement on collaboration between the Russian Society of Cardiology and Ryazan State Medical University. Memorandum was signed by the RSC President Prof. Evgeny Shlyakhto and University's vice-chancellor Roman Kalinin. Prof. Shlyakhto underlined that progress in cardiology can be achieved only by in collaboration with university science. "This cooperation is very important for the system of continuing medical education that is now applied in Russia", - said Prof. Shlyakhto.

Interactive programme of the Forum included a lot of master classes on fundamental theoretical sciences and clinical issues. In total there were 28 symposia, 27 master classes, 9 poster sessions and 2 scientific sessions. Plenary presentations were made by Prof. Shlyakhto and Prof. Sergey Boitsov, chief expert on preventive medicine of the Ministry of Health. 450 participants were registerd during 2-day event. They were specialists in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, therapy, nephrology, endocrinology, functional diagnostics, psychiatry. All participants received CME certificates, and best presentations were awarded by RSC and Ryazan Univeristy.
