Epidemiology linking obesity to cancer 

Elio Riboli
Imperial College London, UK

An interview with Dr Riboli on the influence of diet on cancer, and how our understanding has changed in the last few years is published in BMC Biology.

Ideas pointing towards the discovery of a safe therapeutic preventative of cancer metastasis

Lewis Cantley will be giving a talk on PI3 kinase and disease. For a preview of how cancer and metabolism converged in his research, and why we should be very afraid of fructose and artificial sweeteners read this interview published in BMC Biology.

This year's panel topic - 'Is cancer preventable? The influence of diet on cancer' willtackle the much-disputed issue of whether cancer is preventable by regulating lifestyle, in particular by controlling diet and weight gain.
