It is worth mentioning that Scopje is quite a compact city, in which one attraction is changing by another over several steps. Within 5 minutes walking distance from the Kale Fortress the Central Square is located, in the middle of which there is a bronze sculpture «Warrior on a Horse» with 14.5 m height, erected in honour of Alexander Macedonsky. Actually Scopje astonishes with the abundance of giant sculptures and museums: The National Archeological Museum, The Museum of the City of Skopje, The Museum of the Macedonian Struggle, The Contemporary Art Museum of Macedonia, The Museum of Macedonia… Not far from the city center there is The Memorial house of Mother Teresa. The location of the museum is not a random choice, since many centuries ago there was a Catholic «Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus», where Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu (the original name of Mother Teresa) was baptized.
