The city of Tyumen became the worlds cardiological center for three days

VI International Congress "Cardiology at a crossroad of sciences" was held in Tyumen on May 20-22, 2015. Russian and foreign specialists assembled in the Tyumen Cardiology Center, and congress was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of this great institution.

Cardiologists, physicians, specialists of ultrasound diagnostics, surgeons, neurologists, endocrinologists and doctors of other specialities had opportunity to discuss latest achievements and results of researches, share experience and talk about collaboration. Specialists from UK, USA, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Latvia visited cardiocenter and took part in the congress.

Professor Vadim Kuznetsov, director of the Tyumen Cardiology Center, noted that this year speakers from 12 countries and 27 Russian cities participated in the work of the congress, 226 abstracts were published in the digest, 55 specialists made presentations.

Honorary guest of the congress - Professor Alexander Nedoshivin, academic secretary of the Federal North-West Medical Research Centre and secretary general of the Russian Society of Cardiology - welcomed participants on behalf of the director general of the Centre and President of RSC. He also made a report on "Therapy strategies in patients with ischemic heart disease" on the first day of the meeting.

Within the congress were conducted:
- International symposium on echo and vascular ultrasound
- Symposium "Modern state of cardiac rehabilitation in Russia"
- Shool of emergency cardiology
- School of arrhythmology and many other.

International tournament on echo became the special event for ulrasound specialists for the second time. Also, poster session and young scientists contest were organized.
