Inspired by winning the Battle of Scholars 2018 cardiologists of Cardio Landing Force team Drs. Sofia Kruchinova and Alim Namitokov organized the first Battle of young cardiologists of South Federal Region - 2019.
Competition was held in the Ochapovsky Regional Clinical Hospital 1 in Krasnodar under the guidence of Prof. Elena Kosmacheva and Dr. Natalia Kizhvatova. Teams were formed from cardiology resident physicians of the Therapy Faculty and Cardiology and Cardiosurgery Faculty.
The aim was to deepen the knowledge and develop the athmosphere so that young specialists can think outside the box.
After the qualifying 5 teams were selected to compete: Heart Team, Pacemakers, First-Year Syndrome, Barenaked Hearts, Rhythm Drivers.
The Battle included two rounds: homework based on clinical case and Q&A session.
The winner - First-Year Syndrome team - received special prizes including elimination of membership fee in the Russian Society of Cardiology.
Other participants showed the high level of knowledge and skills and received a very positive assessment.
Drs. Sofia Kruchinova and Alim Namitokov gongratulate the winners, and they have alsready started to prepare the challenges for the next Battle in 2020.
