RSC Regional Congress in Samara: How it was done

On April 5-6, 2019 the Regional Congress of the Russian Society of Cardiology took place in Samara. These two days wewre full of symposia, lectures and scientific interaction.

On the first day of the congress the opening session was held. Minister of health of Samara region welcomed the participants, and RSC President Prof. Evgeny Shlyakhto made a presentation "New technologies as a path to increasing the lifetime of Russians" and Prof. Dmitry Duplyakov discussed the educational project on atrial fibrillation of the RSC Samara branch.

The second day included lectures by leading Russian experts and a special webinar with the American College of Cardiology on ASCVD prevention. A press conference was held between the sessions.

In total, 512 specialists took part in the congress. Nearly 2,000 people viewed online broadcasting at scardio.ru. 1,257 participants will obtain Russian CME credits.
