RSC Board Member presented at the ESC Spring Summit

On March 4th RSC Board Member, Dr. Anna Kontsevaya, made a presentation at the European Heart House within the Annual ESC Spring Summit. She reported on her experince of receiving ESC Educational grant and studing the course MSc on health economics, outcomes and management in cardiovascular sciences in 2015-2017 in the London School of Economics.

Dr. Kontsevaya shared with the participants her personal experience and talked on the impact of the course on her career. According to the expert it helped to develop leadership and professional skills, communication and collaboration with different specialists. One of the course was on the trial design realized on the population level when controlled randomized studies are impossible to conduct. It also consisted training on meta analysis, economic analysis, behavioural psychology.

Obtained knowledge and skills helped Dr. Kontsevaya to take the position of the WHO and UN International Consultant in Economics of Non-communicable Diseases and work in the European region in missions on necessity of governmental healthcare investment.
