ESC Congress 2020: National young groups virtual competition

On August 30th Nikolay Novitskiy (Kaluga), Mikhail Novosadov (Moscow), Sofia Kruchinova (Krasnodar) and Marina Teterina (Moscow) as part of the Russian Heart Smart Team joined the National young groups virtual competition within the ESC Congress 2020.

Nikolay Novitskiy was a captain and lead the team, Sofia Kruchinova performed medical examination of the virtual patient and completed the oral questionnaire with him on 97%, Marina Teterina performed CPR and Mikhail Novosadov completed medical documentation according to all standards.

The team was coached by Drs. Yury Mareev and olga Dzhioeva who united teammates and supported fighting spirit throughout the competition.

The goal was set very ambitious: competitors needed to correctly diagnose the patient and base their therapy tactics on the latest European Clinical Guidelines and protocols.

This year Russian team didn't make it to the finals, but young cardiologists are planning to return next year and win!

The team thanks Young Community of the European Society of Cardiology for the opportunity, great experience and positive emotions and new ideas. Teammates also acknowledge the mastermind of the team - Dr. Anna Chernova.
