…Italian vacation and a bit of echocardiography…
When I told my friends that I had been awarded an EACVI Training Grant 2015 and was preparing to spend a half a year in the University of Padua, they immediately responded: - Italy?... Well… pretty certain it will be like a long lazy vacation and a bit of echocardiography… However, as soon as I immersed myself into a busy environment of the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Science and, in particular, Laboratory of Echocardiography led by Professor Luigi Badano, I understood that I was given a unique chance to develop my skills and knowledge in worldwide-recognised centre for postgraduate clinical training and research in cardiovascular imaging. Now I am happy to accept the invitation of Russian Society of Cardiology and write a blog sharing my experience, impressions and key points of the training, which may be of interest for my colleagues in Russia. I would be also glad to get a feedback from the readers which I hope may help me to make my blog more interesting. Best regards,
