International summit «Eurothrombosis 2015».

The Summit «Eurothrombosis 2015» – is my first experience of participating in an international conference. I remember the joyful and exciting moment, when I received confirmation that the abstract of our research group had been accepted for poster presentation in Italy, Como, 1-3 October 2015. And on the 30th of September I started out for Milan, Malpensa Airport, from which I had to get to the picturesque town at the root of the Italian Alps - Como, where the summit was held.

Summit «Eurothrombosis» - is the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Working Group on Thrombosis of the European Society of Cardiology. Meeting in 2015 included lectures from preclinical studies of hemostasis and thrombosis to clinical trials of venous and arterial thromboembolism.

Before the summit, a meeting by invitation of the Chair of young researchers in thrombosis - Mark Thomas from the University of Nottingham, UK was held in an informal atmosphere in a restaurant on the shore of the lake Como, where it was possible to get acquainted with young colleagues from all over the world and to discuss common research interests.

The summit started on the following day, the 1st of October. The program was divided into two sections - arterial and venous thrombosis. Both sections were held parallel in the halls of the «Teatro Sociale», dating back to 1813, in which world-famous musicians – N. Paganini, F. Liszt, G. Pasta et al executed their musical composition.

During coffee breaks summit participants got acquainted with the poster presentations and took part in discussions on topics of interest, made new contacts. The summit was attended by about 300 participants from all over the world, about 15 colleagues arrived from Russia.
