On September 5th, 2018 a special online session Best of ESC Congress - Live from Paris took place

A panel of 5 experts - Profs. Stephan Achenbach (Germany), John Camm (UK), Eva Prescott (Denmark), Roxana Mehran (USA) and Marco Roffi (Switzerland) - gathered in the studio in Paris to discuss the highlights of the  ESC congress that took place in Munich on August 24-29, 2018.

The experts were joined by the online audience from all over the world and their colleagues in Russia, Montenegro, Serbia, Lithuania, Latvia, Lebanon and Romania who gathered together live.

Russia was represented by the doctors and medical students Almazov National Medical Research Centre (Saint-Petersburg). Online broadcasting was organized directly to the Almazov Centre.

During the first hour experts discussed results of clinical trials on a variety of hot topics such as interventional cardiology (GLOBAL LEADERS, MITRA-FR), arrhythmia (APAF-CRT, CABANA, Digital-AF), prevention (PURE, SCOT-Heart), acute coronary syndromes (CULPRIT-SHOCK, CANADIAN SCAD)
presented on the Congress in Munich. They reviewed the key messages and highlights of the scientific programme.

Then the live audience in St.Petersburg had an opportunity to ask the questions and discuss. Off air Prof. Simon Matskeplishvili (Moscow) didn't only led the discussion of the proposed topics but red out loud the questions from the RSC website and found the answers with the audience. Doctors of the Almazov Centre as well as Profs. Evgeny Shlyakhto, RSC president, Alexandra Konradi, RSC vice-president, Alexander Nedoshivin, RSC secretary general and many others participated in the discussion and asked the questions.

At the same time the questions from onlineand live audience were sent to Paris. And when the experts came back on air they were addressed these questions. Live chat showed that Russian doctors were very active participants of the discussion.

The video broadcasting was viewed from 1195 devices in Russia.
